Monica headshotMonica Martinez is fighting hard every day to ensure all New Yorkers have the opportunity to succeed. Monica spent over a decade giving back to her community as a Social Studies teacher at Brentwood High School, and then became an Assistant Principal at Brentwood Middle School. Monica’s public service continued when she was elected to the Suffolk County Legislature in 2013, where she is serving her third term and has helped pass important legislation.

In the Senate, Monica will:

PROTECT OUR TAX DOLLARS. In the Suffolk Legislature she froze her own salary and passed four consecutive balanced budgets and kept our County on track —she’ll fight every day to protect Suffolk taxpayers.

LEAD THE FIGHT TO PROTECT WORKERS’ RIGHTS because families deserve a living wage.

FIGHT ALBANY CORRUPTION and make sure our communities and schools get their fair share.

STAND UP TO VIOLENT GANGS like MS-13 by supporting harsher criminal penalties for gang-related crime and more funding for youth summer programs to keep kids engaged.

KEEP ILLEGAL GUNS OUT OF THE HANDS OF CRIMINALS, so our community is safe from irresponsible gun violence

ENSURE WOMEN HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE by passing the Reproductive Health Act.

On Tuesday, November 6, elect Monica Martinez – a real leader who will deliver real results for Long Island
