Born and raised in Poughkeepsie, Karen Smythe is committed to strengthening the Hudson Valley. As a small business owner and successful marketing executive, Karen has the real-life experience to bring to the State Senate.

She’s also dedicated her time giving back to her community, serving on the Board of the Bardavon Theater, the Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum and as a Trustee of Vassar College, as well as a Sunday school teacher and soccer coach. She’s fully committed to ensuring that the Hudson Valley becomes an even better place to live, work and raise a family. In the State Senate, Karen will fight every day to fight the rampant corruption in Albany, lower taxes, and better schools for our children.

In the State Senate, Karen will also:

Pass common sense gun safety laws, keeping firearms out of the hands of criminals and dangerous people
Expand jobs and economic opportunities for the Hudson Valley’s middle class
Fight for ethics reform and campaign finance regulations
Ensure women always have the right to choose and are represented with equal pay
Increase access to affordable healthcare

On November 6, please vote for Karen Smythe for State Senate!
