A champion of middle-class families, James Skoufis is running for the State Senate to make the Hudson Valley an even better place to live and raise a family. In the State Assembly, James fought for better schools, infrastructure funding, and combatted government corruption at home and in Albany. He’ll continue to deliver results while representing his community with honor and integrity in the State Senate.

In the State Senate, James will:

HOLD THE LINE ON TAXES: James has a strong record of passing two major tax cuts in the State Assembly, and will continue to ensure that billionaires and Wall Street are held accountable to the same standards as middle class New Yorkers. In the State Senate, James will continue to push Albany on property tax relief and to repeal the MTA payroll tax

FIGHT CORRUPTION AT HOME AND IN ALBANY: In the Assembly, James has a proven record of combating corrupt politicians who put their own bottom line ahead of the interests of hard-working families. James helped lead the charge to strip taxpayer funded pensions from elected officials convicted of felonies, and believes that outside income should be outlawed in Albany

FIGHT FOR EDUCATION FUNDING: James advocated for and delivered universal full-day kindergarten in New York State, and delivered a record amount of funding for our schools in the Assembly. He’ll continue to hold strong against unfair standardized testing that harms our children, and will continue to ensure funding allocation for public schools in the State Senate.

ADVANCE INFRASTRUCTURE: James has been a champion of ensuring the proper funding gets allocated for infrastructure upgrades, including our state roads and bridges in the Hudson Valley. He was directly responsible for helping secure funding for Routes 6, 9W, 17 N/S, 32, 207, 218 and the Palisades Parkway. He’ll make sure funding for these projects continue in the State Senate.

PROTECT OUR ENVIRONMENT: Thanks to James’ advocacy in the Assembly, the state pulled CPV’s power plant permit, helped ensure the cleanup of the Hudson River, and helped ensure funding for the state’s Environmental Protection Fund. He’ll continue to make sure overdevelopment doesn’t threaten our natural resources or open space that our families depend on.

On Tuesday, November 6, vote for James Skoufis for State Senate!
