Allen grew up on Long Island and understands first hand what it takes to represent his community. Allen joined the New York Glaziers Local 1087 in 2008 and worked in the field as a glazier for 9 years. He also served as a member of the AFL-CIO New York City Central Labor Council, Council Delegate for District Council 9, and was a member of the DC9 Political Action Committee.
We need real leaders with real life experience like Allen who will stand up to the corruption in Albany and fight for Long Island families, businesses, and seniors.
In the Assembly, Allen will:
FIGHT FOR THE HARD WORKING FAMILIES IN LONG ISLAND by pushing for tax relief and state intervention to protect Long Island from burdensome taxes that limit growth and opportunity.
WORK TO END CORRUPTION and make it harder for politicians to abuse their power. He’ll work to close the LLC loophole, ban the use of campaign funds for personal use, and push for greater oversight on spending.
INVEST IN OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS, which are so drastically underfunded. Students and teachers deserve better from Albany, and once elected, Allen will work to give our children the education they need and deserve.
BLOCK ANY LAW THAT COMPROMISES THE ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY of Long Islanders, including the proposal to reopen certain water wells in Queens.
