Melinda Katz has not only shown her strong commitment to giving back to our community, but she has also demonstrated an incredible ability to work in countless environments, utilizing a vast variety of strengths to accomplish her objectives.
From interning for US Attorney General Michael Mukasey in the Southern District of New York after receiving her law degree from St. John’s School of Law, to passing bills as an Assemblywoman in the New York Assembly that provided reproductive healthcare resources to women and protected children who experienced abuse, Melinda has an eclectic and diverse track record that will propel her to success as Queens District Attorney.
Currently the Queens Borough President, Melinda continues to fight mass incarceration in our community by advocating for second chances for those incarcerated for misdemeanors and non-violent felonies. Her dedication to our justice system is beyond reproach, and Laborers Building a Better New York is proud to endorse her candidacy for Queens District Attorney.
