Anna Kaplan is fortunate to have lived the American Dream, having immigrated to the United States as a young child and working hard to get a valuable education. After graduating from Yeshiva University’s Stern College for Women and then Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Anna got married and settled in Great Neck where she raised two daughters.

Anna has been active at the local level of government, having served on the Great Neck Library Board, was appointed to the Town of North Hempstead Board of Zoning Appeals, and was elected Town of North Hempstead Councilwoman for the Fourth District.

As a State Senator, Anna will ensure that Long Island becomes an even better place to live, work and raise a family.

In the State Senate, Anna will:

Strengthen New York’s gun laws, to keep firearms out of the hands of sex offenders, dangerous people and criminals
Ensure women always have the right to choose by supporting the Reproductive Health Act
Hold the line on property taxes to benefit middle class families instead of the top 1%
Pass the Child Victim’s Act, to make it easier for victims of sex abuse to seek justice
Fight for more funding for the LIRR and MTA, so residents have better access to functioning transportation options
Push for early voting in New York, so more residents can cast their ballots and increase voting participation

On November 6, please vote for Anna Kaplan for State Senate!
